About Studio Alden

This isn’t your average pottery class. It’s where I share full-length tutorials, process notes, and the stuff most try to gatekeep.

I left the corporate world (and a brief stint in law school) to build something that actually made sense to me. Studio Alden started as a side project and became my full-time work. I’m the founder, tech support, accounting, marketing (you get the idea). The whole department, and the hours don’t stop at 5.

Why subscribe?

Paid subscribers get detailed tutorials and step-by-step guidance. Free subs get process updates, experiments, and the kind of commentary I’d send to a friend who throws. I also share what I’ve learned about running a creative business online because making the work is only half of it, and I know some of you are trying to figure it out too.

What to expect

Technical tips, clear how-tos, and mistakes that didn’t go to waste. I only share what I’ve tested myself and I don’t pretend every result was the plan.

When

The goal is daily. Some weeks I manage it, some I don’t. There’s always something in the works.

Subscribe if you want:

• Pottery tips that aren’t vague

• Tutorials that don’t waste your time

• Honest takes on building a creative business

• And a reason to check your inbox that isn’t just shipping notifications

No spam. Just me, figuring it out and sharing what helps.

Pricing

$5/month or $30/year for full tutorials - the lowest pricing Substack allows. The annual option saves you a bit if you know you’ll stick around. It’s less than the cost of one drop-in pottery class, and you get a lot more than just one lesson.

That’s the pitch. Subscribe or pretend you didn’t read this.✨
